BHCC Job Description Position Summary:

•Applicant must reside in the state to qualify•Care Hawaii is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our team. BHTs are part of a multi-disciplinary team who provide direct support and intervention to members experiencing a mental health crisis. Services are provided on site in a secure crisis center. BHTs assist Case Managers and other staff members in providing support to members and assist in conducting assessments, implementing crisis intervention techniques and coordinating care with other members of the team.

Position Qualifications:

Minimum Education:

High School Diploma Minimum Experience:

1 year of experience in mental health and/or health care setting or 12 college credits in psychology, mental health, social work or similar field. Canidates should possess excellent communication skills, strong clinical skills and experience demonstrating competence in problem-solving, critical thinking, collaboration, and clinical competencies.

Required Certification/Registration:

CPR and First Aid (prior or after start) TB Background Check CPI (training provided upon hire)

Valid Driver's License Vehicle:
