Job Description

Crosspoint Human Services is seeking a compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to support individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. DSPs play a vital role in helping individuals live meaningful, independent, and fulfilling lives by providing hands on assistance, encouragement, and advocacy in daily activities. This is in our
Community Day Services Program Responsibilities and Duties:
Duties include but are not limited to: Implement behavioral programming according to procedure and in a fair and consistent manner. Provide persons served with instruction and training opportunities in the development of variety of skill domains, including, but not limited to: social, communication, recreational, vocational, fitness, functional academic, community, and independent living. Plan, organize, and facilitate active participation of persons served in daily activities designed to build personal strengths of persons served both in-agency and in the community. Complete documentation on appropriate forms relative to programming (date sheets), information (CDS information form), Incidents/Accidents/Injuries (Safety Issue Form). Participate in daily cleaning routine. Follow all laws and policies related to driving & transferring persons served in & out of vehicles.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday 8Am to 4
PM Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent Prefer one or more years experience working with individuals diagnosed with developmental disability or mental illness.
