Granite City, Illinois, United States Job Description Overview :
Work with clients in an innovative project among Chestnut Health Systems, Bi-State Transit, and MetroLink. This is a full-time, team-oriented position in a non-clinical setting which may require evening, midnight, and weekend hours.
Responsibilities :
Work on a MetroLink train or transfer station in Illinois or Missouri. Collaborate with MetroLink Ambassadors and local law enforcement. Engage riders in dialogue. Screen riders for needed services. Develop therapeutic alliances. Provide crisis assessments, counseling, and intervention. Provide situational problem solving and skill development. Transport riders to services as needed. Position centers around interactions with individuals with untreated physical, mental, and substance use issues in a non-clinical setting. Must be able to work alongside a partner for the majority of work hours. Must provide even-tempered responses to potentially volatile situations. Promote the recovery model of treatment including trauma-informed care, hope, respect, empowerment, health/wellness, and spirituality/connectedness.
