  • Full-time Resurge Veterinary Surgical Specialists and Rehabilitation is seeking a motivated and compassionate Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP) , or equivalent credentialed rehabilitation professional, to join our growing specialty team.
This position will work directly alongside our Rehabilitation Department Lead, Dr. Rachel Kobe, helping develop and implement individualized rehabilitation and therapeutic management plans for orthopedic, neurologic, post-operative, and chronic mobility patients. The caseload includes both specialty and referred rehabilitation patients requiring coordinated multimodal recovery and long-term therapeutic support. At Resurge, we believe in a total wellness approach to recovery, incorporating rehabilitation, acupuncture, and advanced therapeutic modalities into the treatment and recovery plans of our surgical and neurology patients to support mobility, functional restoration, pain management, and long-term patient wellness. We emphasize individualized patient recovery, close collaboration between departments, and hands-on rehabilitation therapy designed to maximize patient function, mobility, and quality of life. Position Overview The rehabilitation practitioner will play an active role in patient recovery through therapeutic exercise, modality application, patient handling, and ongoing progress assessment. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced specialty environment and communicating closely with doctors, technicians, and pet owners throughout the rehabilitation process.
Rehabilitation modalities and services include:
Underwater treadmill therapy Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) Therapeutic laser therapy Shockwave therapy Dry land therapeutic exercise Neurologic rehabilitation Post-operative orthopedic rehabilitation Gait and mobility assessment Responsibilities Collaborate in the development and implementation of individualized rehabilitation and therapeutic treatment plans Perform therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation sessions safely and effectively Monitor patient progress and update clinical treatment records with detailed treatment and session summaries Perform callbacks on ongoing cases, as needed, to assess patient progress, recovery status, and overall program effectiveness Educate clients on home exercise plans and recovery expectations Support operation and routine maintenance of rehabilitation equipment and facilities Underwater treadmill maintenance Pool/filter cleaning Monitoring and maintaining chlorine levels General rehab department upkeep Assist with patient handling, mobility support, and treatment documentation Participate in cross-training for basic ICU protocols and patient care support Qualifications Required Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP) or equivalent rehabilitation certification Strong patient handling and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused specialty environment Passion for rehabilitation medicine and patient recovery Preferred Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT/LVT/CVT) credentials Experience in veterinary rehabilitation, surgery, neurology, or specialty practice Familiarity with underwater treadmill therapy, HBOT, laser, and shockwave modalities Schedule Full Time About Resurge Resurge Veterinary Surgical Specialists and Rehabilitation, LLC. is a specialty referral practice focused on advanced surgical, neurologic, and rehabilitation care.
