Residential Location:
Baltimore, MD Shifts:
Evening (3 PM-11:30 PM) & Overnight (11 PM-7:30 AM) Overview Summit Community Health is hiring Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) to support clients in a 3.5 residential substance use treatment program guided by the Summit Model—an integrative, trauma-informed approach focused on stabilization, insight, connection, and long-term recovery. Responsibilities Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment Conduct routine safety checks/rounds Support clients through early recovery and stabilization Reinforce skills related to emotional regulation, accountability, and connection Assist with de-escalation and crisis situations Complete clear and timely documentation Communicate effectively during shift handoff Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Experience in behavioral health or SUD treatment preferred CPR/First Aid (or willing to obtain) Strong communication and ability to set and maintain boundaries Ideal Candidate Reliable and comfortable working evenings/overnights Able to provide structure with empathy Aligns with a trauma-informed, recovery-oriented approach Calm, observant, and able to work independently overnight
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
