Rehabilitation Technician - On-Call/Seasonal/Irregular--As Needed

Tuscola Behavioral Health Systems (TBHS) has been providing services within Tuscola County since 1974. As the Community Mental Health Agency within Tuscola County, we are here to provide services to children with severe emotional disorders, adults with mental illness, substance use disorders, and intellectual/developmental disorders.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum requirements include High School Diploma or GED; training/experience in a field relevant to mental health preferred; ability and desire to work with a variety of individuals served, staff, families, providers, and other community members; physical ability to lift and/or provide emergency physical intervention if needed; must have initiative, judgment and the ability to work independently as well as within a team atmosphere; good driving record with a chauffeur's driver's license and automobile insurance required.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides individualized services and activities that promotes individuals served independence and self-sufficiency while promoting community inclusion and integration; provides active and meaningful activities throughout the program day utilizing a variety of teaching techniques; provides community integration with individuals served through community experiences as well as community volunteering; provides job development, job coaching and follow along as needed; ensures safety of individuals served; initiates/implements program revisions that will enhance the quality of services to the individuals served; provides transportation with agency vehicles; may provide coverage at TBHS residential sites as needed to accommodate agency activities (e.g. training sessions) or as part of coverage for other emergent situations; demonstrates knowledge of and actively supports culturally competent, recovery based practices, person centered planning as a shared decision making process, and a trauma informed culture of safety to aide individuals served in the recovery process.

POSITION TYPE

Seasonal/Irregular/On-Call, hourly, must be available on an as-needed basis•hours will vary•hourly. May occasionally work weekends and evenings.

RATE OF PAY

$20.42•$23.97 per hour
