Provide oversight of daily overnight operations at a youth behavioral health crisis center; supervise and support technicians and assigned staff, ensure accurate and timely documentation, coordinate facility and staff needs, participate in treatment team activities, handle crisis situations, and promote a safe, therapeutic environment for clients and staff. Key Responsibilities:
Supervise overnight staff and clients, model crisis‑stabilization practices, and serve as safety officer during shift Generate and manage staff schedules, approve replacements/overtime/vacations, and monitor time cards Oversee hiring processes including reviewing applications, coordinating interviews, and collaborating with HR on new hires Provide direct and indirect supervision, deliver regular individual supervision, evaluate staff performance, and facilitate corrective action as needed Ensure completion and accuracy of documentation (shift reports, incident reports, EHR forms, observation and communication logs) within required timelines Participate in the treatment team to support a therapeutic, safe environment and contribute to program evaluation and data collection Coordinate facility cleanliness, maintenance, inspections, drills, and purchase/repair of equipment; maintain related logs and records Provide on‑call support for after‑hours and weekend staffing and program needs Assist with phone coverage, message relay, and administrative support as needed Monitor end‑of‑shift responsibilities and follow up on staff compliance weekly Exhibit willingness to accept feedback and implement recommended improvements; perform other duties as assigned by leadership Education, Experience, and/or
Credential Qualifications:
Minimum:
High School Diploma or GED with experience in Human Services or related field
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field Must be at least 21 years of age Demonstrated experience in crisis intervention, staff supervision, and program coordination Ability to enter clinical documentation into computerized record systems and maintain compliance with licensing/CARF training requirements
Additional Qualifications:
Successful completion of background checks (criminal, driving, abuse/neglect, fingerprint) Current driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance Completion of new hire orientation and required Relias training; meet minimum annual training hours required by licensing/CARF (e.g., 40 hours) Ability to read and interpret safety and operating procedures, write routine reports, and communicate effectively with clients, staff, and community contacts Competence to handle crisis situations and work with a variety of human problems; aptitude to develop, coordinate, and evaluate assigned program services Physical Requirements Sedentary work: exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently; primarily sitting with occasional walking or standing. Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during work shift.
