Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) / Mental Health Technicia 300 Garnet Way, Warm Springs, MT 59756 Full-time Full-time Job Overview NVS Strategic Solutions is hiring 24 direct-care professionals for Montana State Hospital in Warm Springs, Montana. This is a high-priority, immediate-need hire with three shifts available, and we're accepting candidates with any of three relevant credentials: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT), or Mental Health Technician (MHT). If you have psychiatric or behavioral health experience and want to make a meaningful clinical difference while working a structured, predictable schedule, this is the role. Responsibilities — Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Assist mentally impaired or emotionally disturbed patients under the direction of nursing and medical staff Support patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, eating, mobility, hygiene) Lead patients in educational and recreational activities as appropriate Accompany patients to and from examinations, treatments, and appointments within the facility Participate in safe restraint of patients exhibiting acutely dangerous behavior, per facility policy and approved training Examine patients to detect issues that may require medical attention — open wounds, bruises, blood in urine, or other concerns Remind patients to take medications and nutritional supplements as scheduled Note and report observations of patient behavior, complaints, and physical symptoms to nursing staff Stay current on CNA training, certification renewal, and facility policy and procedure Responsibilities — Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) Provide direct care to clients and implement individualized behavior intervention plans Work under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Collaborate with other members of the treatment team and clients' families Apply Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques in daily practice Implement treatment plans accurately and make adjustments based on data collected during sessions Communicate treatment plans and patient progress clearly to families, supervisors, and team members Maintain a calm, patient, and compassionate approach with individuals who may face challenges related to developmental disabilities or behavioral health Support patient progress toward individual treatment goals with consistency and care Responsibilities — Mental Health Technician (MHT) Provide direct support and observation to patients with serious mental illness under the supervision of nursing and clinical staff Support patients through daily living activities and treatment milieu participation Monitor patient behavior, safety, and mental status; report changes promptly to nursing staff Assist in de-escalation of patients in acute behavioral crisis using trained verbal techniques Participate in physical interventions and approved restraint procedures when clinically indicated Accompany patients on transports within the facility Document observations, behavior, and shift activity per facility documentation standards Maintain trauma-informed, professional boundaries with all patients at all times Required Qualifications Active credential in ONE of the following: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT), or Mental Health Technician (MHT) Psychiatric or behavioral health experience required — minimum experience in a psychiatric, behavioral health, residential treatment, or developmental services setting Current
BLS / CPR
certification from American Heart Association (AHA) Valid Driver's License Two professional references Completed Skill Checklist (provided at time of submission) DPHHS confirmation agreement (provided at time of submission) Ability to pass standard pre-employment screening (background check, drug screen) Comfortable with 48-hour weekly schedule cap (no overtime, mandatory or voluntary) Physical ability to assist with patient transfers, lifting (40+ lbs), and approved physical interventions when needed Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorshipWork Location:
