Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Technician to join our team. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing support to individuals recovering from substance abuse and alcoholism. This position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need. Some of the Responsibilities included are: Drive residents and participants with alcohol and drug abuse issues to outside meetings, appointments, and outings on time according to the drive schedule Conduct searches when needed; inventory client personal property with clients upon intakes; utilize good communication skills in working with clients, their families, and significant others on a daily basis and while in crisis Ensure that the client activity and treatment schedule is adhered to; must be a role model at all times, and if applicable, shares personal experience, strength, and hope and act as a sobriety role model. Perform drug and alcohol testing per protocol when necessary Diligently monitor clients at all times during shift Light housekeeping and ensuring general cleanliness of the center The minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalency test (HiSET), or general equivalency diploma (GED), familiarity with the twelve-step program of recovery, and if in recovery, a minimum one-year continuous sobriety with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Current Adult CPR certification Current Adult First Aid certification
