Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide direct patient care and support to individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges, including those with SUD, and addiction issues. Your energetic approach will help foster a safe, supportive environment where clients can work towards their recovery and growth. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to implement treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those navigating complex mental health and behavioral needs. Responsibilities Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans by engaging clients in therapeutic activities and behavior management strategies. Conduct intake assessments and document records accurately following HIPAA guidelines to ensure confidentiality and compliance. Monitor vital signs and administer medication as prescribed, maintaining precise documentation and records. Support clients with daily living activities, promoting independence while ensuring safety and well-being. Utilize applied behavior analysis techniques to modify behaviors and promote positive outcomes for individuals with SUD. Respond effectively to crisis situations through crisis intervention and crisis management protocols, ensuring safety for clients and staff. Collect data on client behaviors, progress, and responses to treatment interventions to inform ongoing care planning. Skills Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, or those requiring SUD(substance use disorder) support. Strong knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and crisis management strategies. Ability to work effectively with individuals experiencing PTSD or addiction-related challenges. Familiarity with medical terminology, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and medical documentation procedures. Skilled in behavior management techniques and applied behavior analysis. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with social workers, healthcare professionals, families, and clients. Compassionate approach combined with the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
