About the Program Next Step is a 15-bed, short-term residential recovery program supporting individuals working through substance use concerns, often alongside mental health challenges. As a non-profit organization, we are rooted in trauma-informed, person-centered care with a strong focus on whole-person healing and long-term recovery. Why You'll Love This Role Make a meaningful impact in someone's recovery journey every shift Supportive team environment—there are always at least 2 staff working together 24/7 on-call supervisor support whenever you need it $1.00/hour overnight shift differential Opportunities for growth and advancement All training provided—we will set you up for success What You'll Do Create a safe, welcoming, and recovery-focused environment Build genuine connections and support individuals in developing healthy, independent lifestyles Monitor for substance use and complete breathalyzer/UA testing Observe and respond to mental health and behavioral needs Use verbal de-escalation and supportive interventions Monitor medications and complete documentation Help maintain a clean, comfortable living space What We're Looking For A genuine desire to help others and be part of their recovery journey Ability to work overnight shifts and every other weekend Team-oriented, dependable, and compassionate Willingness to learn and grow in behavioral health Background check and clean driving record required Schedule Overnight shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM Every other weekend required Additional day/evening hours may be available You won't just be filling a shift—you'll be showing up for people when it matters most.
