Mental Health Technician On-Call (Weekdays) Salary $27.78 - $35.58 Hourly Location Lincoln, NE Job Type On call Job Number 202600296C Department Mental Health Crisis Center Opening Date 05/20/2026 Closing Date 6/3/2026 12:00 AM Central Description Benefits Questions Job Posting Information We are seeking a compassionate, team-oriented individual to join our Crisis Center team as a Mental Health Technician On-Call! In this role, you'll support clients through the admission process, gather psychosocial histories, and accurately assess and document mental status and behavior. You'll assist with daily living activities, provide therapeutic and educational support, and help maintain a safe environment by monitoring client behavior. As a vital member of our team, you will collaborate closely with staff to carry out daily unit functions, maintain strong working relationships, and ensure consistent communication across shifts. Knowledge of emergency protective custody (EPC), mental health board (MHB), and discharge processes is essential. Strong communication skills and professionalism are expected in all interactions with clients, team members, and external agencies. Ability to lift 70 pounds in conjunction with proper person transfer and control techniques.
Qualifications :
High school graduate or equivalent with at least 6 months experience/education in the delivery of mental health services that include interacting with patients experiencing psycho-social problems, or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
Hours:
Weekdays and hours to be determined and may include days, evenings, and nights. Shift work up to 40 hours weekly.
