Assisting Hands is seeking a FEMALE Direct Support Professional to provide support to a female individual who has Cerebral Palsy in her home. The candidate must be experienced, caring, and motivated to aid individuals with developmental disabilities and behaviors. Description Assistance with some ADLs Candidate must possess cooking skills, with a preference for preparing Spanish cuisine. Ensure the safety and well-being of the client at all times Assist client in making progress on their outcome and goals for the specified service as defined in their Plan of Care Document services provided (CBS Log) Familiarity with EVV a plus Advocate for client at all times and ensure their dignity and privacy are respected Report any changes in client condition or situations to supervisor and family/guardian This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Requirements Current CPR/First Aid Certification Background check and drug screening Experience developing daily activity plans Previous experience working with a high-functioning, non-speaking individual who uses electronic devices to communicate, preferred Must fully comply with ALL Medicaid DDD requirements Must be trustworthy and reliable so clients and their families feel comfortable having them in their homes Must possess good interpersonal skills, compassion and be sensitive to the client's mental, emotional and physical needs Must possess good physical stamina when performing tasks such as lifting or turning clients
