Summary We are seeking a compassionate and skilled BHT to join our team at New Dawn Treatment Center in Reno, NV. This role is vital in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our mission of clinical excellence. As a BHT, you will play an essential role in enhancing the lives of our clients through dedicated nursing practices. Responsibilities Monitors clients by conducting safety checks. Monitors, logs and reports on client detox withdrawal symptoms and/or significant changes. Monitors and records client vital signs. Charts medication observations, shift notes and DAPs in EHR. Provides clients with education on medication, substance abuse education, healthy lifestyle, and sleep routines. Conducts medication pass by the observation of client self-administration of medication. Reports medication errors. Completes medication count each shift. Assists with medication destruction. Ensure adherence to facility rules. Completes incident reports as needed. Transports clients and pick up medication as needed. Assists with intakes Completing consent forms Collecting payment Client property inventory Light housekeeping Other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Current and valid Nevada SAPTA medical certification and detox certification required. Completion of state required six-hour training (withdrawal symptoms, client confidentiality, infectious and communicable diseases, measuring and monitoring vital signs, and ethical practices) required. Experience working with clients at various levels of care, with an emphasis on substance use disorder or mental health treatment preferred. Must have and maintain a valid Nevada driver's license, clean driving record, and maintain personal auto insurance coverage. Current CPR and First Aid certifications are required. Must have a current TB test or chest x-ray. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work well and quickly under pressure both individually and as part of a team. Excellent project management skills to consistently meet deadlines. Strong organizational skills with superior attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills.
