We are currently seeking experienced Mental Health Technicians for our graveyard shift. The Mental Health Technician provides direct patient care and will be responsible for the following duties: Take vitals of incoming potential patients Complete required filing of intake and admissions paperwork Occasional receptionist duties as needed Oversee appropriate care of potential patients while in intake and admission area De-escalate situations with clients and patients Assisting patients to unit as necessary Oversee cleanliness of intake and admissions area Verify compliance with corporate and national standards of appropriate documentation and patient care during assigned shift
Requirements Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma, GED or equivalent required Outstanding Customer Service skills required Minimum one (1) year related experience preferred (Hospital) Ability to work well in crisis situations Use of appropriate social skills, including demonstration of compassion and respect for staff and patients Ability to maintain information as highly confidential Ability to maintain professional boundaries and willingness to seek supervision in this regard.
