Job Description
Job Summary Join our dedicated team as a Residential Specialist, where you will play a vital role in supporting individuals and families within our community. This dynamic position involves providing compassionate care, ensuring safety, and fostering positive behavioral and emotional development. As a Residential Specialist, you will be the frontline advocate for residents, promoting stability, independence, and well-being through engaging interactions and effective management. Your energetic approach will help create a nurturing environment that encourages growth and resilience. Duties Supervise daily activities of residents, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Implement behavioral health strategies and behavior management plans to support residents' emotional development Conduct crisis intervention when necessary, de-escalating conflicts and providing immediate support during emergencies Assist with childcare responsibilities, including monitoring activities, providing guidance, and supporting developmental milestones Manage case documentation through accurate data entry, filing, and data collection to track progress and inform care plans Administer medication following prescribed protocols and maintain detailed medication administration records Facilitate intake processes for new residents, including assessments and initial orientation to the facility Ensure security protocols are followed to maintain a safe environment for residents and staff Provide addiction counseling support as part of comprehensive behavioral health services Maintain open communication with team members, residents, families, and external agencies to coordinate care effectively Skills Proven supervising experience in residential or community settings with diverse populations Strong crisis intervention skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure Knowledge of child development, childcare practices, and behavior management techniques Familiarity with security procedures and emergency response protocols Experience in addiction counseling or behavioral health support services Excellent conflict management and communication skills for effective resident engagement Background in social work or home & community care environments is highly desirable Ability to perform data entry, filing, data collection accurately and efficiently Competence in medication administration following strict safety guidelines First aid certification or willingness to obtain certification promptly 21 years of age and a valid driver license Join us in making a meaningful difference!
