Job Description

Job Summary Join our dedicated team as a Behavioral Health Technician/Driver, where you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs, and mental health challenges. In this dynamic position, you will provide compassionate patient care, assist with behavior management, and ensure safe transportation for clients to various appointments and activities. Your energetic approach and commitment to positive outcomes will help foster a supportive environment that promotes growth, safety, and well-being for those we serve. Duties Provide direct behavioral health support to youth with diverse needs, including autism, PTSD, and other developmental or mental health conditions. Assist with behavior management strategies and crisis intervention techniques to de-escalate challenging situations effectively. Administer medications following proper protocols and document medication administration accurately in medical records. Monitor physical health indicators to ensure client safety and well-being. Transport clients safely to community activities while adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws. Maintain detailed medical documentation, behavioral data collection, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support youth during intake processes, behavioral assessments, and ongoing treatment plans by collaborating with care coordinators and healthcare professionals. Requirements Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities and or behavioral health is highly preferred. Knowledge of crisis management techniques and crisis intervention strategies. Familiarity with applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management, and medication administration protocols. Ability to work effectively with people with autism, PTSD, addiction issues, or other behavioral health challenges. Strong understanding of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, and medical documentation practices. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience in safe transportation of vulnerable populations is a plus. Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines. Join us in making a meaningful difference!
