Mental Health Technician Community Residential Rehabilitation Program (CRR)
Locations:
State College, Pa and Bellefonte, Pa Part-time opportunities Support individuals with Mental Health challenges in a group home setting Top 100 Organizations three years in a row, 2021-2023 as recognized by PA Business Central We are celebrating 50+ years of caring for individuals in the Centre region! Strawberry Fields, Inc. is a Human Service agency providing residential and community services to individuals with Intellectual disabilities and/or mental health challenges.
Job Summary:
Support individuals with a primary mental health diagnosis Actively and creatively provide emotional support while assisting with daily living skills ( e.g. money management, medication monitoring, socialization, household management, and vocational development) Starting pay rate for part-time is $16.00 per hour
Organization Expectations:
Focus will be on developing opportunities for: treatment as needed, supports, family and friends, peer support, meaningful work, income, community mobility, community groups and organizations, protection and advocacy, psychiatric rehabilitation, leisure and recreation, education, housing and health care Must be flexible regarding work schedule Ability to work as a team member and actively participate in all daily routines is essential
Job Responsibilities:
Provide supervisory and hands on assistance with all aspects of activities of daily living to individuals in a group home setting. The position is in a 24 hour residential program. Must be able to work flexible hours to meet individual and program needs. Rotating schedule includes evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays.
Physical demand:
Ability to exert moderate physical activity (i.e., transferring, bending, twisting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, repetitive lifting, and pushing in miscellaneous activities with individuals and in overall maintenance to the house). Possess the physical stamina and emotional stability to be able to deal with medical and psychiatric emergencies.
Paid Training:

Safe Crisis Management Minimum Qualifications:
Must have access to own transportation PA driver's license and good driving record High school diploma or equivalent required Major college coursework in a human service related field strongly preferred Criminal background check required Professional and Personal references required Must have exceptional communication skills in interactions with consumers, staff, families, and the community.
