MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATIONOF WASHINGTON COUNTY JOB DESCRIPTON MENTAL HEALTH TECHNICIAN-WITHOUT DEGREE

(Part-Time) The Mental Health Technician assists residents in working on their goals, managing activities of daily living and daily program needs, with additional assignments as directed by the program supervisor.

Duties will include:

Responsibilities may vary based on your scheduled shift Maximize a therapeutic structured community environment through individualized support and therapeutic activities. Transports and accompanies clients to off- site programs, activities, and appointments as Documents residents' accomplishment of specific objectives set forth in treatment and/or behavior plans Reports all incidents of an emergency nature immediately to the program or on-call supervisor Completes all required documentation for incidents as dictated by the program Responsible for the general safety of all residents. Safeguards the residents' at all times and maintains confidentiality Ensures that the physical surroundings of the L.T.S.R. and its vehicle(s) are free from hazard at all times and reports irregularities immediately to the administrative assistant Other duties as required III Required/Recommended Skills Excellent interpersonal skills Understanding of the symptoms and behaviors of persons with a mental health diagnosis Organizational skills Effective writing skills Creative problem solving skills Demonstrates initiative Capable of independent action Ability to complete all required trainings Willing and able to drive as required Education and Background Requirements as completed 12 semester hours of college training in a mental health related field or has at least a high school diploma or equivalency and 6 months of formal training in mental health or a related field Act 33/34 Clearances, valid PA driver's license, and State Police Motorist's Clearance Bondable E.O.E. $17.00-$21.00 Less than 40 hours/week EAP Additional Details
