Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to provide support and implement behavior management strategies. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our clients through patient care and effective crisis intervention techniques. This position requires a strong commitment to fostering positive relationships and promoting behavioral health.
Job Setting and Hours:
Services may be provided within Chester County School Districts or daycare settings. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday during school hours, generally between 9:15 AM and 3:30 PM. Responsibilities Provide direct support to children with developmental disabilities, including autism, in various settings. Implement behavior management plans tailored to each client's needs. Monitor and document client progress, behaviors, and vital signs as necessary. Assist in crisis intervention situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust treatment plans. Engage clients in social activities that promote skill development and independence. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients at all times. Experience Previous experience in patient care or working with children in the school setting is preferred. Familiarity with behavioral health practices and techniques related to autism is highly desirable. Skills in crisis intervention and behavior management are essential for success in this role. Experience in social work or related fields is a plus. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
