Behavioral Health Technicians (BHT's) New Castle, PA 16101 $18
  • $20 an hour

  • Part-time, Full-time Behavioral Health Technicians (BHT's) provide therapeutic interventions and support to reduce and manage a child's, youth's or young adult's needs identified in an individual treatment plan (ITP).
BHT's provide one-on-one intervention strategies, as prescribed by an individualized treatment plan, to children and adolescents in the home, school or community settings. TLC is hiring BHT's in Lawrence County, Pay $18
  • $20/hr, commensurate with education and experience.
Experienced BHT's and Educators encouraged to apply. Five to forty hours per week, negotiable schedules. What Will The BHT Do? You will work in traditional as well as non-traditional settings (i.e., home, school, day care, community, etc.) to meet the needs of the child. You will effectively document daily progress and relay information to team members, supervisors, and other staff as required. You will ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner. You will work collaboratively with the treatment team members to ensure the treatment plan is meeting the participants needs. You will provide 1:1 interventions and support when required including behavior modification techniques and crisis interventions and strategies as outlined in the treatment plan. You will support caregivers in their efforts to stabilize the child by providing information, guidance, and modeling of intervention techniques. You will assist in the management of behavioral escalation by way of using de-escalation and behavior management techniques taught by the master's clinician and/or supervisor. You will participate in individual and/or group supervision as required.
Qualifications and Experience BHT I:
High school diploma or equivalent AND completion of a 40-hour training covering the RBT task list (training is provided) OR Two (2) years of experience in the provision of behavioral health services.
BHT II:
Associate degree AND completion of a 40-hour training covering the RBT task list (training is provided) OR Two (2) years of experience in the provision of behavioral health services.
BHT III:
Bachelor's degree AND completion of a 40-hour training covering the RBT task list (training is provided) OR Two (2) years of experience in the provision of behavioral health services. BHT staff must have appropriate background checks and clearances to work in direct contact with children and adolescents (ACT 33, 34 and FBI clearances) Staff must be able to participate in Medicaid and Medicare programs Billable Rates (Time spent providing direct care to your client)
BHT I:
$18/hour
BHT II:
$19/hour
BHT III:
$20/hour By January 1, 2021, individuals who provide individual services through BHT services shall meet one of the following: (1) Have a certification as a BCaBA. (2) Have a certification as an RBT. (3) Have a certification as a BCAT. (4) Have a behavior health certification or behavior analysis certification from an organization that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute. (5) Have a high school diploma or the equivalent of a high school diploma and have completed a 40-hour training covering the RBT Task List as evidenced by a certification that includes the name of the responsible trainer, who is certified as a BCBA or BCaBA. (6) Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the provision of behavioral health services. Schedule and hours are determined by client needs. Services are provided in area schools, client homes, and community settings as indicated.
