The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for providing therapeutic support to children and adolescents with serious behavioral health challenges. The BHT will work to provide treatment utilizing a plan that is directed by the BC.
Main Responsibilities:
Provide One on One support to children and adolescents with behavioral disorders. Expected to implement and understand individualized treatment plans that are set forth by the Behavioral Consultant. BHTs will work across all settings including schools, home and community. You will be expected to record behavioral changes and provide a safe and supportive environment for your patient. Supporting parents with their re-education and training as they learn to care for child Consult with Behavior Consultant as needed Adhere to applicable city, county, state, and federal laws and regulations, internal and State standards. Conduct crisis intervention sessions with the youth as needed; Use the least restrictive, least intrusive interventions to address the youth's problematic behaviors Maintains regular contact with other members of the treatment team to provide and receive feedback on the youth's performance.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equilvalent (Bachelors degree preferred) with one-year experience in a job that involved direct contact with children or adolescents Completed 40-hour Registered Behavior Technician certification training within six months of employment. Required Clearances; Criminal background, Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprinting. Must be able to demonstrate sensitivity in regards to the community served About Intercultural Family Services, Inc.
