3:00 PM-11:00 PM evening shift on a 2week rotation - Week 1: Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri, Sat; Week 2: Sun, Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri. Plus shift differentials and Enhanced Pay eligibility Position Details Our psychiatric technicians provide direct care to individuals with Serious and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI) in an extended acute care (EAC) facility. This role involves supporting consumers in developing life skills for greater independence, implementing individualized treatment plans, and actively participating in the treatment planning process. Duties and Responsibilities Safely and respectfully manage agitated consumers with appropriate use of de-escalation techniques. Complete clear and accurate documentation. Provide care and treatment in a manner that considers the rights, safety, comfort and overall therapeutic environment for consumers. Report all consumer crisis and or unusual incidents immediately to the Program Director/ Supervisor. Support individuals in the performance of household activities (cleaning, organizing, laundry, etc). Teach and promote various activities of daily living (money management, hygiene, time management, keeping a schedule, social and leisure activities, etc). Assist in developing and implementing activities to increase skills in independent and community living, socialization/leisure time and to build on strengths to promote positive growth for the consumer.
