Job Description

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field required. Ability to work 7-3, 3-11, and 11-7 shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed to ensure 24/7 crisis coverage. Must have an active QMHP certification. Must also have a valid Mobile Crisis Response (MCR) certificate. Strong skills in de-escalation, risk assessment, safety planning, and crisis stabilization. Knowledge of trauma-informed care, recovery principles, cultural competence, and suicide-prevention best practices. Valid Virginia driver's license, reliable transportation, and active auto insurance required. Ability to pass all background checks. CPR/First Aid and TOVA required or obtained during onboarding. Job Description Provide rapid response to individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis within one hour of dispatch. Be available to work 7-3, 3-11, and 11-7 shifts to ensure proper coverage and timely response to individuals in crisis. Meet individuals in an environment where they feel safe and comfortable to support service engagement, stabilization, and crisis resolution when possible. Provide appropriate care, support, and supervision to maintain safety for the individual and others while avoiding unnecessary law enforcement involvement, emergency room utilization, and/or preventable hospitalization. Utilize effective de-escalation techniques to prevent further symptom escalation or disruptions in the individual's current living environment. Refer and link individuals to all medically necessary behavioral health services and supports across the continuum of care. Coordinate and collaborate with all behavioral health providers involved in the individual's care throughout service delivery. Provide services in a recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, culturally congruent, and developmentally appropriate manner, integrating Zero Suicide / Suicide Safer Care principles. Write descriptive, concise, and clinically appropriate progress notes aligned with the individual's defined goals and objectives. Complete all required documentation accurately and within required timeframes. Attend all assigned meetings, trainings, and supervision as required.
