Job Description
Job Overview Join our as a Physical Therapy Rehabilitation Technician! In this vital role, you will support physical therapists by preparing patients, assisting with therapeutic exercises, and ensuring a smooth flow of rehabilitation services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to patient recovery and improve quality of life through dedicated care and clinical support. Duties Assist physical therapists with patient intake, positioning, and setup for therapy sessions Support patients during therapeutic exercises, ensuring proper technique and safety Prepare treatment areas by organizing equipment and sanitizing surfaces in accordance with infection control protocols Monitor patient responses during therapy, reporting any discomfort or concerns to the supervising therapist Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and session details Help with patient education by explaining procedures and encouraging engagement in their recovery process Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate care plans for inpatient, outpatient, and post-acute patients Skills Strong patient service orientation with a compassionate approach to care Knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to rehabilitation therapy Experience working in hospital environments, outpatient clinics, or post-acute care settings such as sub-acute or skilled nursing facilities Familiarity with hospital medicine, inpatient care protocols, and outpatient therapy practices Ability to assist with intake procedures and support patients across diverse age groups including geriatrics Understanding of orthopedics, geriatrics, and post-surgical rehabilitation needs Prior experience in acute care or sub-acute care environments is highly desirable This role is paid and offers a rewarding pathway to develop your skills in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
