Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Transport Driver/Mental Health Tech to join our healthcare team. This dual-role position combines safe and reliable transportation services with providing essential mental health support to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of psychiatric care, crisis intervention, and patient monitoring, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients during transit and within clinical settings. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges while maintaining a professional and supportive environment. Duties Safely transport patients to and from medical appointments, treatment facilities, or correctional clinics, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols. Assist mental health professionals with patient observation, behavioral management, and crisis intervention as needed during transport or within clinical settings. Maintain detailed records of patient transport activities, behavioral observations, and medical information in compliance with privacy regulations. Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure smooth transitions between transportation and clinical care environments. Provide compassionate support to individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs, fostering a respectful and safe environment during all interactions. Requirements Prefer experience working in psychiatric or behavioral health settings, including hospital or corrections facility medical clinics. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating transport vehicles in healthcare environments is preferred. Excellent communication skills combined with a compassionate approach towards individuals with disabilities or mental health conditions.
