Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily care and support of clients at Haven of Hope. BHT is primarily responsible for ensuring the client population is safe, supported, and accounted for throughout the treatment process. BHT will also assist with the day-to-day operations including but not limited to facility management and cleanliness, availability of essential items to for client eating events and activities of daily living, and support the medication management and dispensing processes when needed. The BHT role works as a team player through collaborating with all departments and supporting the overall mission of Haven of Hope which is to walk with clients on their healing journey. Responsibilities Direct client care
  • provide oversight of all clients throughout programming days and follow protocols for client monitoring Client meal support
  • provide eating event support at all assigned meals and snacks and follow appropriate protocols for meal and bathroom policies Client safety
  • follow facility safety protocols for ensuring the physical safety of clients and follow all de-escalation and crisis intervention protocols to manage escalated client situations Staff training
  • attend and complete all required trainings to remain competent for all aspects of the job Documentation
  • document all required meals, groups, shift pass downs, client assessments, and room checks according to HIPPA compliant standards established by this center Qualifications Knowledge of medical terminology and behavioral health practices.
Experience in crisis management and crisis intervention techniques preferred. Familiarity with trauma and eating disorders preferred but not required. Experience working with adults in a higher level of care setting is preferred. Ability to provide client care with empathy and professionalism. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients, families, and team members. Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field preferred Join us in making a difference in the lives of those we serve by applying your skills as a Behavioral Health Technician.
