We are currently hiring for:

  • 7 pm and 7pm

The Behavioral Health Tech position is for you! Brooks Healing Center is looking for those seeking to begin their career in The Substance Abuse treatment atmosphere.   • 1 year of sobriety is preferred.
Position Overview:
A BHT assists with the treatment of patients who have various behavioral health presenting issues, such as substance abuse disorder along with various mental health diagnosis. The BHT position is expected to understand and aid in implementation individual treatment plans, monitor patient behavior, and provide a safe, supportive environment for the patients. BHT's may provide and record patient medications along with assisting in daily activities, both therapeutic and recreational.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Consistent, daily, appropriate engagement with clients, providing support through implementation of the treatment plan. Has clear understanding of substance use disorders and recognizes scope of responsibilities when working closely with clients in residential treatment. Ensures medication dispensing for clients, per regulations and EMR schedule as dictated by the physician with concise documentation. Safely drive and operate company vehicles, including keeping accurate and up to date travel logs. Uses facility EMR to accurately documents all engagements with clients in treatment with concise, fluid communication in the electronic chart. Maintains strict confidentiality of client information and records without exception. Maintains adherence to HIPAA compliance in all communication regarding clients in treatment. Maintain a strict "friendly, but not friends" professional approach with clients. Lead groups on varies topics. Clarity surrounding cultural sensitivity and professional boundaries. Attends all staff meetings and trainings as directed by supervisor. Must attend 80% of mandatory meetings and report reason for missing the other 20%. Works continuously to maintain the cleanliness and functional order of the facility. Follow all processes and procedures in the Brooks Healing Center policy and procedure manual. Additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or GED. An ability to learn quickly, multi-task, and utilize effective communication skills, including both telephone and in-person. Positive demeanor and clear understanding of professional boundaries with clients. Ability to follow directives, adhere to facility policies, with seamless implementation, regardless as to client demands. Intrinsic motivation, client-driven service disposition, excellent time management skills, team approach, and basic computer skills. Scheduling flexibility, holiday and weekend rotation is required. Dependability and punctuality are essential to this role. Must hold valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and provide own insured transportation.

$12.00
