The BHT plays an essential role in supporting clients throughout their recovery journey by helping maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment. This position works closely with clinical and operations teams to provide direct client support, encourage accountability, monitor safety, and assist with daily programming and operations within the facility. Duties Provide direct supervision and support to clients in a structured treatment environment Monitor client safety, behaviors, and daily activities throughout the shift Encourage participation in programming, groups, and recovery-focused activities Support daily routines, schedules, and client movement throughout the facility Observe and report changes in client behavior, mood, or condition to appropriate staff Respond appropriately to crisis situations using approved de-escalation techniques Maintain professional boundaries and therapeutic communication with clients Complete accurate and timely documentation, including shift notes and incident reports Communicate important updates and concerns during shift changes Assist with admissions, discharges, and client transitions as needed Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment Follow all HIPAA, confidentiality, safety, and organizational policies and procedures Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in behavioral health, mental health, healthcare, or substance abuse treatment preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Must be dependable, organized, and able to maintain professional boundaries
Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
