Responsibilities University Behavioral Health of Denton is a private freestanding psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health and chemical dependency care. Serving North Texas and surrounding areas, UBH Denton has provided a range of programs treating mental health illnesses and substance abuse issues since 2005. Our inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services offer supportive and compassionate care for adolescents and adults with specialty programs that are tailored to meet the needs of our patients. Full-Time Position Summary:
The Milieu Manager will work closely with all members of nursing administration to assure program integrity and structure in all the inpatient units.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
The Milieu Manager will assist with training lead MHTs and function as a mentor to all staff. Assist in patient management, program oversight, maintain unit integrity, provides continual supervision, ensure patient safety, crisis management, and therapeutic interventions. Ensure milieu schedules are being followed by nurse department staff and ensure appropriate documentation submitted. Be proficient in time management, organization, scheduling, and communication with leadership team. Take on departmental training roles as needed and participate in audits as assigned. Conduct departmental meetings and assist with department communication.

Requires Associate's degree in the behavioral sciences (or equivalent: 60 college credits) or possess a high school diploma/GED and have one (1) year of full time experience in mental health. Must be at least 21 years of age. Prefer Bachelor's degree in the behavioral sciences.
Experience:
Must have an extensive understanding and working knowledge of inpatiennt psych and acute units in a hospital setting. Must be able to work effectively with adolescents and adults.
Licensure:
No licensure necessary.
Additional Requirements:
Successful completion CPR certification, Handle with Care and Verbal De-escalation within 30 days of employment prior to assisting in restraining procedures. Must obtain HWC/Verbal Instructor certification. May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.
