Position Summary & Key Responsibilities:
As an EHS Technician, you will actively support the implementation, compliance, and auditing of
ISO 14001
(Environmental) and
ISO 45001
(Occupational Health & Safety) standards.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
Risk Assessment & Control:
Identify, evaluate, and thoroughly document potential workplace hazards; propose and implement immediate control measures.
Audits & Compliance:
Conduct regular internal audits and periodic verification's to ensure total compliance with local safety, environmental, and occupational health regulations.
Safety Training & Delivery:
Design, coordinate, and deliver highly engaging employee education programs covering safe practices, proper PPE usage, and secure chemical handling.
Incident & Accident Investigation:
Lead thorough investigations into workplace incidents, analyze root causes, and establish proactive corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Technical Advice:
Provide clear safety guidance and sustainable practice recommendations to operations teams, human resources, and senior management.
Authorized Field Scope:
To maintain a safe environment, this role is fully empowered with the authority to:
Stop Work:
Immediately halt any floor activities deemed imminently dangerous or non-compliant until corrective actions are taken.
Resource Selection:
Recommend and authorize specific PPE procurements and safety resource allocations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Education:
Associate degree, Technical Degree, or equivalent practical experience in Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Safety Engineering, or a related field. (A Bachelor's degree in an EHS discipline is highly preferred but not required).
Core Experience:
Proven experience conducting safety audits, implementing employee EHS training programs, handling hazardous chemicals, and managing emergency responses.
Regulatory & System Knowledge:
Solid understanding of general industrial safety regulations and 5S methodologies. Familiarity with
Global Frameworks:
Prior exposure to or training in QMS quality systems, RBA ethics, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or industry compliance standards (such as ESD, RoHS, C-TPAT, or Cybersecurity/DFARS/ISO27001) is highly valued.
Interpersonal Skills:
