Behavioral Health Technician Location:
Waxahachie, TX Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Health Technician to join our team in Waxahachie, TX. The ideal candidate will assist in providing care and support to individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges, working under the supervision of licensed mental health professionals. Key Responsibilities Assist patients with daily living activities and therapeutic exercises. Monitor and document patient behavior, progress, and any changes in condition. Provide a safe and supportive environment for patients. Participate in treatment planning and team meetings as needed. Respond to patient needs and emergencies promptly and appropriately. Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with facility policies. Support patients in developing coping skills and positive behaviors. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure quality care. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or higher in related field preferred. Previous experience in behavioral health, mental health, or related healthcare setting is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle stressful situations with patience and professionalism. Basic knowledge of mental health disorders and treatment approaches. CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Work Environment This position involves working in a clinical setting with individuals experiencing a range of behavioral health issues. The role requires physical activity, including standing, walking, and assisting patients with mobility.
