About 1Life1Love 1Life1Love, Inc. is a licensed mental health provider dedicated to delivering counseling, training, outreach, advocacy, and education to individuals with behavioral and mental health needs. Our mission is to strengthen families, promote independence, and prevent out-of-home placement through high-quality, community-based services such as IIH, TDT, MHSB and crisis services. Job Summary 1Life1Love, Inc. is seeking motivated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Behavioral Health Staff, Behavioral Health Technician Assistants (BHT-A), and Behavioral Health Technicians (BHT) . These positions provide direct, community-based behavioral health support services to children, adolescents, adults, and families receiving services through our programs.
Join our dedicated team as a Behavioral Health Technician BHT-A / BHT, where you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with diverse behavioral health needs. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will assist in providing compassionate patient care, implementing behavior management strategies, and ensuring a safe environment for clients with developmental disabilities, autism, PTSD, addiction issues, and other behavioral health conditions. Your proactive approach will help foster positive outcomes and promote well-being for those we serve. Responsibilities Support clients through daily activities, ensuring their safety and comfort while promoting independence. Provide structured behavioral health support and skill-building interventions Assist with coping skills, emotional regulation, and problem-solving development Support social skills, communication, and behavioral modification strategies Provide parent/caregiver education and modeling of interventions Assist with daily living skills (ADLs), routines, and community integration Support linkage to community resources and appointments Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with Medicaid standards Participate in team meetings, supervision, and trainings Follow all confidentiality, ethical, and professional boundary standards Engage in crisis management and crisis intervention to ensure safety during emergencies or behavioral episodes. Position Levels & QualificationsSupport Staff (Entry-Level) High School Diploma or GED required Experience working with at-risk individuals preferred May be eligible to transition into BHT-A pathway Behavioral Health Technician Assistant (BHT-A) High School Diploma or GED required Completion of 20 hours of Board-approved didactic training (or willingness to complete within onboarding period) Eligible for registration as a BHT-A through the Virginia Board of Counseling Strong interest in behavioral health and community-based services Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) Associate's Degree (or higher) in a human services or related field Completion of 40 hours of Board-approved didactic training (or willingness to complete within onboarding period) Eligible for registration as a BHT through the Virginia Board of Counseling Experience working with individuals with behavioral or mental health needs preferred What We Provide Structured onboarding aligned with Virginia Board of Counseling requirements Relias training program (20 or 40 hours depending on role) Support with Board registration process Ongoing supervision and professional development Opportunity for growth within the agency Requirements Must pass criminal background check Must have transportation Must pass Child Protective Services (CPS) check Must be able to work in home, school, and community settings Must demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and strong communication skills
