We are seeking dependable, professional, and motivated Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) to help create a safe, structured, and supportive treatment environment for our clients. As a Behavioral Health Technician , you will play an essential role in supporting daily operations, maintaining patient safety, assisting with admissions and orientation, and helping patients navigate their treatment experience with dignity and respect. Position Details Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Available Day, Evening, Overnight, Weekend, and Holiday shifts may be required Non-Exempt Position Opportunity for growth into Lead BHT responsibilities Key Responsibilities Maintain the safety, supervision, and accountability of all patients within the facility Conduct routine safety checks and monitor patient activity throughout shifts Observe and report changes in patient behavior, mood, physical condition, or mental status to clinical staff Assist with admissions, intake procedures, patient orientation, and belongings inventory Complete accurate and timely documentation, shift reports, and required checklists Facilitate approved non-clinical groups and orientation sessions as assigned Assist in de-escalating crisis situations while maintaining professionalism and patient dignity Support patients during daily routines and program activities Conduct supervised urine drug screens (UA) and breath alcohol testing (BAC) in accordance with policy Assist with patient transportation to appointments or recovery-related activities when assigned Monitor family visits and ensure adherence to program guidelines Maintain a clean, organized, and safe facility environment Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development Follow all HIPAA, confidentiality, safety, and infection control procedures at all times Lead BHT Responsibilities (When Assigned) Coordinate shift operations and support overall program flow Delegate responsibilities to staff and ensure tasks are completed Confirm required documentation and safety checks are completed before shift end Provide guidance and support to team members during assigned shifts Assist with oversight of admissions and intake responsibilities during the shift QualificationsRequired High school diploma or GED Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately during crisis situations Basic computer skills for documentation and communication CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within required timeframe) Preferred Prior experience in behavioral health, substance abuse treatment, healthcare, or direct care Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Services, Social Work, or related field Experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Understanding of substance use disorders and recovery principles Additional Requirements Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record for transportation responsibilities Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed Work Environment This position works within a behavioral healthcare setting serving adults receiving substance abuse treatment services. Team members may work with individuals experiencing emotional distress, behavioral crises, or co-occurring mental health concerns. Employees must follow all safety, emergency response, and infection control procedures.
Pay:
