11:00 PM•7:30 AM Position Summary The Weekend Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) provides direct patient care and supervision to individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use disorders. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment while supporting clinical staff and treatment plans during weekend shifts. Key Responsibilities Monitor patient behavior and ensure safety at all times Conduct routine safety checks and maintain observation logs Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including hygiene, meals, and mobility Support therapeutic programming, group activities, and structured schedules Utilize de-escalation techniques to manage crisis situations Enforce program rules, boundaries, and behavioral expectations Communicate patient concerns, behaviors, and incidents to nursing and clinical staff Complete accurate and timely documentation, including shift notes and incident reports Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient movement within the facility Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Previous experience in behavioral health, mental health, or healthcare preferred but not required CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire) CPI or crisis intervention training preferred Skills & Competencies Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm in high-stress or crisis situations Observational awareness and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Compassion, patience, and professionalism Why Join Us?
