Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance The Kahm Center for Eating Disorders is a small family owned Vermont practice that treats eating disorders in an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) setting. We are looking for mental health technicians who are passionate about treating eating disorders and fostering meaningful relationships with the staff and patients as a part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
Qualifications :
Experience in the field of mental health is preferred Theoretic as well as practical knowledge of the clinical area Demonstrates strong leadership qualities Demonstrates sound judgment Demonstrates and consistently strives to maintain excellence in all mental health technician job responsibilities Bachelors degree required; in psychology or related field preferred Essential Functions (Performed in accordance with Kahm Center policies under the supervision of the lead therapist): Facilitates process and alternative groups (up to 10-12 patients ) Collect patient vitals and biometrics according to program schedule Supervise and meal coach with patients daily Assist therapists with patients in crisis Key player in integrating and supporting the patients through their recovery journey Provide support and intervention consistent with the patient's treatment plan Engage patients in developing healthy and appropriate connections with other patients in the milieu and the team Assist in food preparation; Model appropriate meals and mealtime behavior/conversation Oversee the milieu and assists by maintaining the integrity of the therapeutic group schedule Maintain a positive, supportive demeanor that is respectful, courteous, and compassionate to all patients and coworkers Serves as an active member of the multidisciplinary treatment team; e.g., attends treatment team rounds when schedule allows Assist with administrative tasks when needed Other duties as assigned Benefits include: Medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance $450/month employer contribution toward your health insurance premium $75/month employer contribution into a Health Savings Account (HSA) 15 days of paid time off (PTO) 7 paid holidays
