Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) - Day ShiftWomen's Residential Recovery Program Veltex Recovery Group - Mount Hope Campus Full-Time Day Shift Position | Starting at $15.00/hour Additional Shift Differential Available for Overnight Availability Empowering Women. Building Brighter Tomorrows. Veltex Recovery Group is seeking dependable, compassionate, and motivated individuals to join our team as Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) within our women's residential substance use disorder treatment program. Behavioral health, residential treatment, detoxification, mental health, or substance use treatment experience strongly preferred. This position plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive treatment environment while helping women build stability, accountability, and long-term recovery skills. Ideal candidates are team-oriented, emotionally mature, reliable, and passionate about helping others heal and grow through recovery. Position Responsibilities Provide supervision, support, and structure to clients within a residential treatment environment Assist in maintaining a safe, therapeutic, and recovery-focused atmosphere Monitor client behavior and communicate concerns, incidents, or changes in condition to clinical or nursing staff Conduct room checks, safety checks, and routine client monitoring Assist with admissions, discharges, transportation coordination, and daily operations as needed Complete accurate and timely documentation, shift notes, and incident reports Support medication line operations as directed by nursing staff Encourage accountability, participation, and healthy peer interactions among clients Maintain professional boundaries and trauma-informed interactions with clients Respond appropriately to emergencies, crises, and behavioral concerns Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Experience in behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, residential treatment, healthcare, corrections, or human services preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team Basic computer and documentation skills required CPR/First Aid certification preferred Valid driver's license preferred Employment Requirements Successful completion of pre-employment and random drug screening Successful completion of West Virginia Cares background investigation Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and healthy boundaries in a residential treatment environment Compensation & Benefits Starting pay: $15.00/hour Additional shift differential available for overnight availability Full-time day shift schedule Supportive team-oriented work environment Paid training and onboarding Opportunities for advancement within behavioral health and recovery services Meaningful work helping women achieve long-term recovery About Veltex Recovery Group At Veltex Recovery Group, we believe recovery is more than sobriety — it is transformation.
