Job Description

Community Clinic is a patient-directed Community Health Center which provides affordable primary health care and supportive services to our neighbors in Northwest Arkansas. Community Health Centers, also known as Federally Qualified Health Centers, is a Federal designation whereby community health needs are identified and are responded to appropriately. You belong. Position summary Community Clinic is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to join our Midwifery Practice located at Sager Creek Pediatric and Family Care in Siloam Springs, AR. The Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) is responsible for providing comprehensive women's health services, including prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecologic care, in alignment with Community Clinic's mission to advance equitable, community-based healthcare. The CNM will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to provide high-quality, patient-centered care that supports the diverse needs of the communities we serve. This position is full-time with three 8-hour clinic shifts and 24hrs of call each week.

Exempt Essential job functions Provide comprehensive midwifery care to patients throughout their reproductive life cycle, including prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and well-woman gynecological care as well as care to the newborn up to 28 days of life. Maintain a regular clinic schedule, seeing patients for routine and urgent appointments. Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 coverage for labor and delivery support. Manage low-risk pregnancies and deliveries independently while consulting with or referring to physicians as appropriate. Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab work and fetal monitoring, to guide clinical decisions. Prescribe medications and therapeutic measures within the CNM scope of practice. Collaborate with OBGYNs, Women's Health Nurse Practitioners (WHNPs), and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, multidisciplinary care for patients. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to advance maternal and child health outcomes. Support and educate patients on lactation, newborn care, and maternal health. Maintain accurate, timely, and complete medical records in the electronic health record system. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including but not limited to
HIPAA/HITECH, HRSA, NCQA
PCMH, and OSHA. Other Women's Health and provider related responsibilities, as needed. Essential Skills and Characteristics Strong understanding of evidence-based practices and clinical guidelines in midwifery care. Ability to provide compassionate, culturally responsive care to diverse patient populations. Demonstrates sound clinical reasoning and decision-making in routine and emergent situations. Works effectively within interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to reducing disparities in maternal and reproductive health outcomes. Ability to adjust to workflow changes and patient volume fluctuations. Qualifications Master's degree in Nursing or Midwifery from an accredited program required Current certification as a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) in Arkansas required Current BLS and NRP certification required DEA registration and prescriptive authority in Arkansas (or ability to obtain) required Experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or community health setting preferred Bilingual ability in English and Spanish or Marshallese preferred Why Work at Community Clinic?
