Job Description

Interest pool for new graduate certified nurse-midwives at Glow About Glow Midwifery PLLC Glow Midwifery is a small, concierge midwifery practicing offering full-scope care with births in the hospital. It is midwife-owned and run, and is located in Gilbert, Arizona. Description About Glow Glow provides full-scope midwifery and women's health care, including prenatal care, hospital birth, postpartum care, gynecology, wellness visits, ultrasound, IV therapy, and related services. Patients choose Glow because they want care that feels personal, evidence-based, and deeply supportive. We are a small practice with a high-touch feel, and we want all of our patients to be surprised at how comfortable their healthcare experience can be. We have high standards for ourselves and a strong commitment to each other as a team. We value warmth, professionalism, reliability, clinical excellence, emotional intelligence, and kindness. The Role We are not currently hiring new graduate CNMs, but we are happy to collect applications from exceptional new graduates who would like to be considered when a new graduate position becomes available. A new graduate role at Glow would be designed for a candidate with a strong foundation in labor, birth, and women's health, excellent clinical judgment for their stage of training, and the professionalism needed to grow within a small, high-standard practice. This would not be a role for every new graduate. It would be best suited for someone with meaningful hospital-based labor and delivery experience, strong instincts around safety and collaboration, and the humility to ask questions while also taking initiative and ownership. As a new graduate CNM at Glow, you would grow into full-scope midwifery care in both the clinic and hospital setting. This would include prenatal care, postpartum care, gynecology and wellness visits, and hospital birth as readiness, licensure, credentialing, privileges, and practice needs allow. You would be expected to learn Glow's systems, communicate clearly with patients and the team, document thoroughly, participate in shared decision-making, and help maintain the calm, high-quality Glow experience our patients know and trust. Glow's model includes shared prenatal care and shared call, with some patients choosing additional individualized support through higher-touch care packages. A new graduate candidate should be comfortable growing within this model over time, supporting continuity through excellent documentation and handoffs, and participating in call responsibilities when clinically appropriate. We would seek out a thoughtful, capable new midwife who can grow into the role with professionalism, steadiness, and consistency. Schedule and Call This role would be 24 hours of patient-facing time in the clinic, with 2-4 additional hours each month for meetings and events. Call is split amongst the midwives for shared patients. If you elect to accept a designated patient, you agree to be on call 24/7 for that patient while she is term until she births. Designated patients are optional, and not mandatory. Specifics of the schedule, clinic hours, and call rotation will depend on the final role structure, candidate experience, and practice needs. Glow is committed to making midwifery sustainable, and has found our current model to be the most flexible and enjoyable way to practice midwifery. This design allows for flexibility and accommodation of the midwife's priorities. We are open to candidates who are available now and those planning ahead for a future transition. We understand that notice periods, licensure, credentialing, and hospital privileging can take time, and encourage you to apply now even if you are not ready to begin just yet.
