Dr. Gregory R. Klis, MD Position Summary The Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides comprehensive, patient‑centered care in an OB/GYN clinical setting, including preventive care, prenatal and postpartum care, gynecologic evaluations, family planning, and management of common women's health conditions. The NP works collaboratively with physicians, medical assistants, and administrative staff to ensure high‑quality care, patient safety, and an exceptional patient experience. Key Responsibilities Clinical Care Conduct comprehensive OB/GYN assessments, including history, physical exams, and diagnostic evaluations. Provide prenatal care, postpartum follow‑up, and routine gynecologic care. Manage common OB/GYN conditions such as menstrual disorders, infections, contraception needs, and menopausal symptoms. Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, screenings). Perform in‑office procedures within NP scope of practice (e.g., Pap smears, endometrial biopsies, IUD insertion/removal, Nexplanon insertion/removal). Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with supervising physicians. Provide patient education on reproductive health, pregnancy, contraception, and preventive care. Triage patient concerns and determine appropriate level of care. Collaboration & Communication Work closely with OB/GYN physicians to coordinate patient care and escalate complex cases. Communicate effectively with medical assistants, front office staff, and leadership to support clinic flow. Participate in case reviews, care team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives. Compliance & Documentation Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic health record (EHR). Follow all California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) regulations and standardized procedures. Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, and clinic policies regarding patient safety and confidentiality. Participate in continuing education and maintain required certifications. Qualifications Required Current and unrestricted California Nurse Practitioner License . Current California Registered Nurse (RN) License . National NP certification (e.g., WHNP, FNP, ANP). Current NPI and DEA registration (or ability to obtain prior to start). Current BLS certification. Minimum 1-2 years of experience in women's health, OB/GYN, or related specialty (or strong clinical rotations in OB/GYN). Preferred Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP‑BC) certification. Experience in outpatient OB/GYN or family planning. Experience with EHR systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks, Epic, Athena). Bilingual (English/Spanish). Skills & Competencies Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently within scope. Excellent communication and patient‑education skills. Ability to manage a fast‑paced clinic environment. Compassionate, patient‑centered approach to care. Strong organizational and time‑management skills. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the clinic for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally (supplies, equipment). Ability to assist patients safely as needed. Work Schedule Full‑time, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm Occasional extended hours depending on patient needs or clinic operations Compensation ($75,000 - $85,000)Pay:
