Job Description
Certified Nurse Midwife UM, Capital Region Medical Group, a member of the University of Maryland Medical System is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to join its thriving practice at UM Capital Region Hospital which includes the location at its new State of The Art Facility in Largo, MD. In addition, the CNMs provide outpatient care Midwifery Care for several outpatient medical office locations as well as its own women's healthcare mobile unit which serves underserved populations within Maryland and DC. The Certified Nurse Midwife provides comprehensive patient care to patients with collaborating physicians, managing the complex care of the antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum patient. Assume the responsibility for the caseload of obstetrical and gynecological patients selected according to midwifery practice protocols. This includes admission, monitoring and reporting on patient progress and discharge planning and follow through. This position requires licensure in Maryland and the District of Columbia. Work Experience Education Master's Degree - (Mandatory) A combination of relevant education and professional experience may be accepted in place of a degree.

/ Registration BLS Certification (Mandatory) Maryland Certified Nurse Midwife License (Mandatory) Maryland CDS License (Mandatory) Maryland State DEA License (Mandatory) Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification (Mandatory) NCC EFM Certification (Must be obtained within 3 months of employment) Experience and Skills 2 to 4 years of experience in Midwifery (Preferred) 0 to 1 year experience assisting as first scrub on Cesarean sections (Preferred) 0 to 1 year demonstrated proficiency in third trimester ultrasound (Preferred)
