Work Schedule Combination of labor and delivery call and OB/GYN clinic Benefits for full time staff

403(b) with match Education assistance and continuing education Requirements Graduate of an accredited school of nurse-midwifery with a master's degree plus clinical experience Current Michigan Certified Nurse Midwife License BLS, NRP, and ACLS required, TEAMS certification required within one year; all are available through Hillsdale Hospital Responsibilities Provide and manage the care of women and babies during pregnancy, labor and delivery, and post-partum Carry out complete physical examinations including pap smear, breast exam, abdominal exam, pelvic exam and clinical pelvimetry Analyze and interpret patients' histories, symptoms, physical findings, and diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnoses and care plans Order, perform, or interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work, ultrasound, Rh factor, CBC, urinalysis and serology test Prescribe medication and recommend diagnostic or therapeutic interventions with attention to safety, cost, invasiveness, simplicity, acceptability, adherence, and efficacy Educate patients about prevention and self-management of acute or chronic illnesses, tailoring instructions to patients' individual circumstances Monitor patients' conditions and maintain accurate, detailed and confidential reports and records Create a comfortable environment for patients, exhibiting a non-judgmental, compassionate attitude Why Hillsdale Hospital Hillsdale Hospital is dedicated to excellence in healthcare community service, continued improvement, and respect for human life.
