Are you living your life's work? Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health Physicians OB/GYN is seeking a part-time Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join their team. The CNM provides full-scope obstetric and gynecologic care to low and moderate risk patients in our several clinic locations and Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health's Women & Babies Hospital. Inpatient responsibilities include assessing patients in Triage, managing low and moderate risk labor, attending births, and rounding on postpartum patients in our Couplet Care unit. Our midwives function independently within a team-based care model. We maintain excellent working relationships with our collaborating physicians, as well as with the residents and nurses on the labor floor, to provide midwifery services to patients. The CNM should be self-directed, responsible and accountable for clinical practice and provide continuity, compassionate, culturally sensitive care to patients. Our CNMs interests and responsibilities extend to the community level where they strive to improve maternal/child health from a patient-centered/family centered approach. Some travel may be required to satellite offices.
Hours:
Variety of part-time options available between 20-32 hours/week. Part-time positions include a combination of inpatient and outpatient hours in rotating 8-hr, 12-hr, and/or 24-hr shifts to total the contracted hours consistent with FTE. Inpatient shifts may vary between 12-hour or 24-hour call (100% in-house at Lancaster General's Women & Babies Hospital). Office setting hours are typically 8:00am-5:00pm. Scheduling expectations include nights, weekends, and holidays, shared equitably amongst all midwives in the group.
Position Requirements:
Valid Pennsylvania Registered Nurse Midwife licensure & Nurse-Midwife Prescriptive Authority Valid Pennsylvania Registered Nurse licensure DEA license Master of Science Nursing Active CNM credential through AMCB Minimum one year experience as CNM preferred Bilingual Spanish language skills, preferred Clinical teaching experience preferred Why Penn Medicine?
