Are you living your life's work? Position Summary Penn OB/GYN and Midwifery Care (POMC) is seeking a per diem Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join our collaborative team at Pennsylvania Hospital. This role supports care on the labor and delivery unit and obstetric triage , with a minimum commitment of 3-4 twelve-hour shifts per month . About the Practice POMC is a busy, team-based practice dedicated to delivering exceptional, culturally responsive care to a diverse patient population. Our midwives are deeply committed to advocacy, equity, and creating a supportive experience for patients and their families. We're looking for someone who brings that same mindset and energy to the bedside. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive intrapartum care on the labor floor Evaluate and manage patients in obstetric triage Collaborate closely with OB/GYN physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams Deliver safe, evidence-based, and compassionate care Support patients and families through labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum needs Schedule & Commitment Per diem role Minimum 3-4 shifts per month 12-hour shifts , including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed Qualifications Current (or eligible) Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) BLS certification (current) Minimum 2 years of hospital-based midwifery experience Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently in a high-acuity setting Why Penn Medicine?
