Job Description

Opportunity Details All applicants must: Have been practicing as an RN in the United States, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or a U.S. Territories for RA and AR. Must hold a RN current, valid, active, and unrestricted license to practice nursing. Must have a Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (BSN) or an advanced nursing degree. Be a graduate of a nursing program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or accepted by the National League of Nursing (NLN) (if older degree). CRNA (66F) degree must be accredited by Council on Accreditation (COA). Must pass the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) and board certifications if advanced practicing nurse (66F, 66P, 66R, 66W). ANC guidelines recommend 1 year of work experience in the AOC applying for by the program manager review date for RA and
USAR. RA
requires RN full-time for not less than 1-year work experience for all AOC's, exclusions noted in mission memo or on checklists. Must be working in the AOC at the time of program manager review. AR must have been practicing as an RN full-time for not less than 6 months within the 1-year in AOC at the time of program manager review. Applicants must be a US Citizen or Naturalized Citizen (INS 550) for Regular Army (RA) or a Permanent Resident (INS 551) for Army Reserve (AR). Certification for Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN-Adult) is required for 66S. An approved CV is good for the fiscal year but dependent on any changes with a previously approved CV within timeframe or any added requirements; FY24 CV Checklists have been updated and located on HSD-Nurse Corps SharePoint site. Constructive credit for DNP is 3 years and MSN is 2 years. Will not be able to receive both work experience and educational experience if same time frame. Active-Duty Accession Bonus All fully qualified nurses may be eligible to receive Special Pay or a Critical Skill Wartime Shortage (CSWS) bonus. Qualified nurses in specific AOCs may be eligible for an accession bonus (see mission memo). May receive ADHPLRP and or the bonus depending on eligibility for RA. Current serving applicants must have a 24-break-in service to receive a bonus. ADSO are either 3 years or 4 years for a bonus. Active-Duty Health Professions Loan Repayment Program (ADHPLRP) This program will repay qualified loans to lending institutions annually for a maximum of 3 years IAW current incentive plan. Participants of the ADHPLRP will incur an ADO consisting of a minimum of 3 years, or one year of ADSO for each annual repayment, whichever is greater in accordance with AR601-141, Chapter 4, Paragraph 4-3. This ADSO will be served consecutively (not concurrently) with any other existing ADSO, including obligations as a result of prior loan repayment. If no other ADSO exists, the obligation will commence on the date of the first loan repayment .Army Reserve Army Nurse Corps Programs/Incentives USAR Accession Bonus USAR Accession Bonus for USAR HPOs, only specialties listed in the current
USAR HPS&I
Pay plan, are eligible to receive the AB. Bonus provides a specified amount per year. 66S AOC is eligible for a USAR accession bonus. Current serving applicants must have a 24-month break-in-service to receive a bonus. Reserve Component Health Professions Loan Repayment Program (RCHPLR) RCHPLRP provides for repayment of outstanding loans for qualifying AOCs IAW the AMEDD OfficerSelected Reserve Incentives Program (SRIP): made, insured, or guaranteed through a recognized financial or educational institution; used to finance education in a health profession determined to be a critical wartime shortage by the Secretary of Defense. For each year of satisfactory service in an ARTPU, the APMC or IMA Program, a specified amount IAW the AMEDD Officer SRIP (once approved by appropriate approval authorities) will be applied to an education loan. The RCHPLR and Special Pay may be offered and contracted at the same time, in either order, provided the applicant meets all other eligibility requirements. Soldiers will receive their incentive in the order they select using the appropriate Incentive Declaration Statement. Once the contract is executed, Soldiers may not deviate from the order of this selection. Service members cannot overlap obligation periods or receive concurrent payments. Payments and the payback time will be consecutive. Healthcare professionals can contract for both if authorized, the RC HPLRP and the Special Pay if their AOC is listed in the current
USAR HPS&I
Pay Plan. If the healthcare professional fails to contract for both incentives at the time of accession, the healthcare professional can contract for a Special Pay or the
RC HPLRP
in the future if the individual's AOC is listed in the current
