JOB SUMMARY
The Music Therapist will provide individual and group music therapy services to the Hospice client, families. The Music Therapist working with the IDG will create and implement treatment plans based on each client's needs, using a variety of musical interventions. The Music Therapist will also document progress and communicate with other members of the treatment team. In addition, the Music Therapist may provide community outreach and education about music therapy. Music Therapy is a research informed therapy which uses music interventions to meet the psychosocial and physical needs of hospice patients and the music therapist is board certified (MT-BC). •Please note that this Job Summary outlines the general nature and level of work to be performed. Job Qualifications and Requirements:
Education :
Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy, Masters (Preferred) or related field which includes an internship. Board certified music therapist from an established music therapy institute and or degree in a music affiliated discipline. (MT-BC)
Experience :
One (1) year of experience in the field of Music Therapy and (1) year hospice experience (Preferred).
Travel :
