Music Therapist - Full Time The Sonatina Center | Dover, NH | Full Time About Us The Sonatina Center is a creative arts therapy practice serving children, adults, and families across New Hampshire since 2010. We offer music therapy, mental health counseling, and enrichment programming to meet clients where they are through the power of creative expression. The Opportunity We're looking for a full-time Music Therapist to join our close-knit clinical team. You'll step into an established caseload with the support and structure to focus on what you do best — the clinical work. Who You'll Work With This role spans a range of clinical settings and populations, that may include: Early childhood group programs Adolescents in a residential mental health program Adults in inpatient and outpatient hospital group settings Adults in an eating disorder treatment program Adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities Individual clients of all ages across a variety of needs — including mental health, developmental, and behavioral goals What We're Looking For The Essentials Board Certified Music Therapist Experience or strong interest working across age groups and abilities Licensed counselor or counselor licensure eligibility a plus The Intangibles You thrive with autonomy. You don't need someone looking over your shoulder to stay motivated—you see what needs to be done and you do it. You're comfortable with technology (EHR systems, scheduling platforms, the occasional spreadsheet). You bring warmth and flexibility to your clinical work and your interactions with colleagues.

Private practice isn't always predictable. Caseloads fluctuate. Schedules shift. Some weeks feel busier than others. You're someone who can stay grounded through the natural rhythm of this work — celebrating the wins, problem-solving the challenges, and showing up consistently for your clients. Compensation $42-45/hour (billable hours) | $20/hour (non-billable hours) Full-time earning potential: Base compensation: $64,000-$68,000 annually Additional benefits value: $14,000+ annually Full-Time Benefits "Full-time" at The Sonatina Center means maintaining a minimum of 25 billable hours per week.
