Job Description

Job description: KenCrest is seeking Music Therapists to provide evaluations, create treatment plans, and provide individual and/or small group (up to 3 members) group sessions either in a consultant's office or at the client's homes and community locations.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Complete an evaluation and treatment plan for clients.
  • Offer in-office (consultant-owned office space), community spaces, or client home sessions according to the frequency of the treatment plan.
  • Write session notes and provide data to the team on progress toward goals.
  • Attend team meetings as appropriate to provide updates and gather information on needs.
  • Manage caseload needs, negotiate follow-up in the necessary timeline expectations that varies by team, and keep all promises made according to session progress or follow up between sessions. Communication and collaboration with team members is key in this role.
  • Often this role works alongside other Clinical Team members including Behavior, Sexuality, Communication Specialists or SLPs, and Occupational Therapists.
Qualifications for
Music Therapists:
  • Certification from the Certification Board of Music Therapists
  • Experience working with intellectually disabled and/or Autistic individuals required
  • All trainings and other requirements as set forth by The Office of Departmental Programs
  • Must have access to the necessary tools to complete position requirements
AFTER THE INTERVIEW, IF INVITED TO ONBOARD WITH US, WE WILL NEED
  • Copy of valid driver's license
  • Communication regarding your reliable transportation
  • Copy of valid car insurance
  • Copies of State, Child Abuse, & Federal clearances (within 1 year of application)
  • Proof of state mandated liability insurance - coverage parameters given after interview
  • Any new state, county, or agency requirements as necessary
