Music Therapist

Responsibilities:

• Provide therapy services to individuals with special education needs
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine appropriate treatment plans
• Develop and implement therapeutic interventions based on individualized goals
• Utilize ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation and billing purposes
• Provide crisis management and support during challenging situations
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client progress and treatment plans
• Stay informed about current research and best practices in therapy techniques

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field (e.g., Psychology, Counseling)
• Valid licensure or certification as a therapist
• Experience working with individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments
• Proficiency in ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation and billing
• Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques and interventions for special education populations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
• Experience with data collection and analysis for outcome measurement
