Job Description

Category Schools - Music Therapist Job Type Contract Bring your expertise and passion for music therapy to a supportive school environment where your skills will make a tangible difference for students. This contract opportunity is full-time and covers a 12-week leave of absence, giving you the chance to step in as a valued part of a caring team near Denton, TX.
Key Qualifications:
Master's or Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy from an accredited institution Board Certification in Music Therapy (MT-BC) Previous experience as a Music Therapist, especially in school settings, strongly preferred Understanding of diverse musical interventions tailored to individual student needs Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to assess, document, and report on student progress Flexible, compassionate approach to working with children and adolescents of varying abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver music therapy services to students according to their IEPs or designated support plans Collaborate closely with educational staff, parents, and other related service providers Develop and implement individualized and group music therapy interventions Evaluate and document student progress, adapting techniques as necessary Foster a positive and inclusive environment through musical activities and engagement Participate in meetings regarding student needs, goals, and progress This 12-week contract offers a dynamic and rewarding work setting where you'll help students achieve growth and connection through music.
